Prenatal & Family Chiropractor
I’ll always remember when chiropractic chose me. I was working for a chiropractor as an assistant. A 15-day-old baby came in with terrible reflux and was about to go in for invasive surgery. After the adjustment, the chiropractor figured out that it was the formula. Mom switched the formula, continued wellness adjustments, and baby didn’t have surgery. In that moment, I realized that I didn’t have to be a surgeon to save lives. I could help people by reconnecting their mind, body, and spirit; look at them as a whole instead of the symptoms that consume their lives.
That led me to Life University in Marietta, GA. I completed my Bachelor in Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees while delving deep into the science, philosophy, and art of chiropractic.
While in GA and since graduating, I have completed over 300 additional course hours in pediatrics, prenatal, cranial, and autism care through the ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association) and Epic Pediatrics. Through this program, I also became Webster Technique Certified to better care for pregnant women.
After graduating, I worked for an amazing family practice in GA while awaiting the birth of my second. Jude was born at exactly 42 weeks at an Airbnb in a birthing pool with a midwife. This birth was dramatically different from Emelia’s Naval Hospital birth surrounded by 11 different hospital workers. Jude came out not breathing with the cord around his neck 3 times. In that moment, I knew that if I only became a chiropractor to give that one adjustment to hear his first breath, every blood, sweat, and tear that went into my training was worth it. This is were my love and passion for advocating and educating our community about birth options and pre/post natal care was birthed. I am more than excited to see that community of dedicated birth workers grow and connect here in Kitsap.
When I’m not in the office, you can find me having impromptu picnics with my tiny humans, traveling the country to teach other chiropractors how to hone in on their analysis and adjusting skills, listening to podcasts (super junkie!), and writing a book or three! Watching my children grow up healthy in this beautiful community is everything. I am honored that to be able to help create a healthier and happier Kitsap!!
Patient Care Coordinator
Born and raised in San Diego, CA, I found my way to Washington as a military spouse. My husband and I have been married 11 years and have 4 wonderful children ranging in age from 10 to 3.
My passion for alternative health developed in 2011, when I began attending births as a doula. I began midwifery school with Midwive's College of Utah in 2014 and graduated with a B.S. in Midwifery in 2017. Now, I am a licensed midwife in the state of Washington and own my own practice, Fly True Midwifery. I am currently in the process of obtaining my Master's degree in Midwifery and anticipates graduation in the summer of 2019.
As a midwife and a mother, I have seen first hand how important it is that mom and baby’s nervous systems are connected properly before, during, and after birth. That is one of the many reasons I came to work at Looking Glass Chiropractic. That and the fact that I love seeing our community’s happy smiling faces everyday fills my cup!
When not in the office, you can find me catching babies, working on my thesis, at the gym, exploring with my kids, or catching up with friends!
