Dr. Crystal Folta DC CACCP

PRENATAL, PEDIATRIC, & FAMILY CHIROPRACTOR

I’ll always remember when chiropractic chose me. I was working for a chiropractor as an assistant. A 15-day-old baby came in with terrible reflux and was about to go in for invasive surgery. After the adjustment, the chiropractor figured out that it was the formula. Mom switched the formula, continued wellness adjustments, and baby didn’t have surgery. In that moment, I realized that I didn’t have to be a surgeon to save lives. I could help people by reconnecting their mind, body, and spirit; look at them as a whole instead of the symptoms that consume their lives.

That led me to Life University in Marietta, GA. I completed my Bachelor in Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees while delving deep into the science, philosophy, and art of chiropractic.

While in GA and since graduating, I have completed over 300 additional course hours in pediatrics, prenatal, cranial, and autism care through the ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association) earning my CACCP and Epic Pediatrics. Through this program, I also became Webster Technique Certified to better care for pregnant women.

After graduating, I worked for an amazing family practice in GA while awaiting the birth of my second. Jude was born at exactly 42 weeks at an Airbnb in a birthing pool with a midwife. This birth was dramatically different from Emelia’s Naval Hospital birth surrounded by 11 different hospital workers. Jude came out not breathing with the cord around his neck 3 times. In that moment, I knew that if I only became a chiropractor to give that one adjustment to hear his first breath, every blood, sweat, and tear that went into my training was worth it. This is were my love and passion for advocating and educating our community about birth options and pre/post natal care began. I am more than excited to see that community of dedicated birth workers grow and connect here in Kitsap.

When I’m not in the office, you can find me having impromptu picnics with my tiny humans, traveling the country to teach other chiropractors how to hone in on their analysis and adjusting skills, listening to podcasts (super junkie!), and writing a book or three! Watching my children grow up healthy in this beautiful community is everything. I am honored that to be able to help create a healthier and happier Kitsap!!

Dr. Jill Paisley DC

FAMILY AND PRENATAL CHIROPRACTOR

Dr. Jill’s journey into chiropractic care began as a quest for relief from debilitating headaches stemming from head and neck trauma after a series of auto accidents. After successful treatment for these conditions, she began her healing career as a massage therapist and Reiki master in 1997. She then graduated from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, and built a thriving practice in San Diego over the course of the next 20 years. In 2021, she sought a change of pace, yearning for a more tranquil environment than the bustling life of Southern California. North Kitsap offered her the calm and serenity she was looking for, along with a welcoming community and natural beauty. A fortuitous meeting with Dr. Crystal, (as her personal chiropractor), has led to an opportunity for Dr. Jill join her practice, and bring her years of service to Looking Glass Chiropractic.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Jill enjoys walking local trails with her two dogs, and spending time at the record shop she co-owns with her wife in Poulsbo. Dr. Jill is a certified breathwork teacher and holds classes and retreats where people can learn to heal from trauma, both physically and emotionally.
